Angela Ruggiero: The former Regina of Ice Hockey

Angela Marie Ruggiero is a professional former ice hockey player from the United States. She was born in 1980. She used to play in the position of defense in the team and her shot was at right. Currently she is a member of the prestigious International Olympic Committee. She had been a part of the US national team for Ice Hockey. The team during her stay had won four back-to-back medals in the Winter Olympics. She retired from the game in 2011. Post her retirement she is pursuing her studies in Harvard Business School.
She had started to play ice hockey when she was in school.  While she was still in high school, she was already a part of the US Women’s National Team that represented the Olympics in 1998. It marked the start of her professional career. She was the youngest member of the team when US won the gold in ice hockey at 1998 Winter Olympics. She was also a part of the team that won 2 silver medals in 2002 and 2010 Olympics and a bronze medal in 2006 Olympics.
Besides the Olympics medal, she has many awards and accolades to her kitty. She was the first ever woman to play the professional games for regular ice hockey season, other that the goalies. It was because of her shot, that the US had manager to win her first gold medal for Ice Hockey in 2005 World Championships. She has also been part of the goodwill tour of the Olympic Athletes to a war-torn Afghanistan.
